Comments Sunny morning with very little breeze. Half of the race route ran on a trail in the forest, and half on a sidewalk following Lornie road. We ran the same about 5km loop twice. Very good run!

Comments In the afternoon we visit the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) for the first time. We don't go through all the exhibits, but one we do is their current special exhibit "Sumatra: the Isle of Gold". We have not been to Sumatra yet, only in Bali and our next Indonesian adventure heads to Java. It was interesting to find in the museum things we have already met in real live elsewhere, like Black Hmong women of Northern Vietnam or Champa culture of central Vietnam.

Comments Foot pod is dead, and heart rate monitor sends weird signals. We ran this hilly route again. This time we went all the way around the pond loop, so we had two tedious uphills and two sets of stairs, one up and one down, on our way.

Comments Believe it or not, but this is our first bicycle trip after the New Zealand tour. We start it with the usual: coffee, juice and a couple of sandwiches at Da Paolo Gastronomia in Bukit Timah. Then we ride the usual route via Old Choa Chu Kang road and Jln Boon Lay back home, where we reach just before 1pm.

Comments It is raining quite heavily as we head out to the start line for the flag off at 7:45am, and just when we discard the emergency ponchos we are told that the official start is only at 800 hours. Bummer, fifteen more minutes in the pouring rain. The rain does not dampen the spirits of the runners or the organizers most of whom are there too without any raingear. Nice run, even if Tei does not beat her last year time.
