Comments First, the instructor was 20 minutes late, and then she tortured us for 50 minutes with some excruciating fitball exercises that made the inner thighs really burn. "Painful, huh?" she had all the laughs. She is really nice and funny.

Comments Ave 140, max 153, +32C, sunny, nice breeze though. The plan was to run around the park two times, but after the first lap I was flipping coin between leaving it to just one lap and doing a half lap. I decided for the latter. Oh boy, it was tough.

Except for the young kids who were playing war in full guerrilla outfits with machine guns, radios and all, very few people occupied the park. Perhaps it was too hot.

Tomi has been in Florida this week. He has done some running on the beach in few occassions.

Comments Ave 138, max 164. Sunny, no breeze. Huffin and puffin'. My heart rate shot up from 126 to 164 in the steep part of the hill, but as the slope leveled it went down to 155 and 145, and was 143 on the top.

Comments Ave 139. The step count is from door to door, but time only from home to lights. I had really bad luck with the traffic lights today, so I stopped the clock even if I was planning to run all the way back home to save time. Running felt strong so I don't know why the high heart rate.

Comments We have not been on wheels since our trip to Bali. Our bikes are becoming rusty, especially chains and pedals. Today it already sprinkles when we ride as far as the nearest shopping mall for breakfast, but the rain never gets too bad.

We head to the North-western part of the country again. We are surprised to find the Chinese cemetery area clogged with traffic and the cemeteries full of people under their umbrellas burning some smokes. As we continue North the traffic gets lighter. We ride as far as the road (Lim Chu Kang Rd) goes. The Northern coast line is not very nice view of Singapore.

On our way back we take smaller roads and cruise pass the agri farms. It is a nice and quiet ride, with little traffic. However, it gets quite annoying soon, since the dogs are after us, just like in Indiana. When coming back to town, the roads are busy again, surprisingly so given that it is Sunday.

Comments A new instructor. This was quite a different class from the previous one. We did not spend that much time lying down on our backs, and the exercise was more like a continuum rather than separate exercises with breaks in between.

Comments Ave 134, max 160. It rained some when we headed out, but it stopped soon after. The sun almost came out. However, there was a huge thunderstorm lurking around the Pandan area. When we had finished about three quarters of the reservoir loop, the downpour started. We were all soaked in few seconds. This was a slow run: I stayed with Tomi all the way unlike the previous times.

Comments Regina subbed for Cheslyn. We did the same program as last week with minor order changes. For instance, this time in lunges we did one leg first, and then the other, whereas last week we did the standing lunges with both legs first, and only then the moving lunges with both legs.

The guy standing in front of me scared me since he did the clean'n presses with the weights not secured to the bar. I can't imagine what could have happened if either of the plates had flown throught the air, when he lifted the bar.
