Comments Yet another instructor. Her headset ran out of battery, so she really had to be screaming to us. Given that it is the eve of the May Day, one of our major holidays and reasons to celebrate, she was very cheerful.

Comments +14C, sunny. No run today, but a marathon walk. We walked to The Didrichsen Museum of Art and Culture to see an exhibition on Henry Moore's sculpture and its interaction with architecture. One of his works in located in Columbus Indiana, in front of Cleo Rogers Memorial Library. On our way back we had coffee and quiche at an idyllic cafe in Villa Angelica, located next to our presisent's recidence.

Comments Finally we put together both show dances. Gee, these were two tough classes. And we learned a new step to the advanced jig, and actually three more steps to the intermediate reel. I still cannot get the Blackbird quite right. Fortunately, we do have some more weeks.

Comments Yee, I have not had a chance to do push-ups for 24 hours! This was the first time the instructor commented on the crazy idea of putting planks after shoulder workout and push-ups.

Comments I skipped the interval exercise in order to rest my legs: I have slight symptoms of shin splints in my left leg. For some reason there were far fewer than usual participants in the core session this week, as well as the preceding interval session.

Comments Ave 134, max 151, +10C, sunny. Another beautiful day. It is two months until the marathon race in Turku, so we started the Yasso interval training. We ran four laps in 4:30 (the total time above includes warm-up and cool-down), and were happy we were not hit by a ball. Schoolkids were playing baseball in the infield, and since they were playing the Finnish version of the game, they were actually hitting the ball.

Comments We've been looking forward to the ride on our new bikes for two weeks now. The weather forecast said it will be nice and warm today. It was cold as in Russian hell ... not exactly but much chillier than we expected. We had to turn back home before the halfway of the planned route. Anyway, the bikes worked fine. Tei had some novice problems with the shifts, since she used to have gripshifts in her GT.

Comments The advance class followed pretty much the same lines as last week. And so did the intermediate. I could not get my head and feet work together in Blackbird, and I was on the wrong feet all the time.
