Comments The instructor moves steps from one song to another, probably to introduce more variability to the program. She said we may have a new program in core session next week. Already? We just have had this for three weeks. Anyway, I prefer some changes, since we do a lot back exercises with the cost of abs.

Comments Ave 143, +3C, cloudy, drizzling. The weather and conditions are detrimental to our marathon training program. Yesterday was most gorgeous day, sunny and warm, but today it is raining again, and the ground is covered by sleet. I ran one 3K lap in 16 seconds. Tomi played indoor soccer in the morning.

Comments This was the last time we had program 64, and the session was a total failure. There were not enough steps for everybody. Furthermore, the lightest 1 and 2.5 kilogram weights ran out. I had to use dumbells for chest, biceps, and triceps, which was not very comfortable.

Comments We still continued the reel steps both in soft and hard shoes. We put the two soft shoe steps together for the first time. Oh boy, that's confusing. We also started the Spring show number, which is going to be treble jig. Fortunately, we will also do the intermediate show in hard shoes: that'll be Blackbird (hornpipe), which we had practised already for a while, combined with some fast reel.

Comments New programs in both sessions, a bit more challenging and interesting than the previous ones, especially the interval 30. We used a stick in core session to train the lower back. I had to give some feedback afterwards because of too loud music.

Comments Ave 133, max 144, +5C, sunny. Actually, it was not sunny but for an hour or so in the afternoon. The morning was drizzly and gray, and then suddenly the sky cleared. Only few minutes after I returned from the run came the hail storm. It was gone as quickly as it appeared. Tomi played indoor soccer in the morning after a couple of weeks' break.

Comments Ave 136, +3C, cloudy, drizzling. I hate this winter! Even if it has been unseasonably warm for an extended period, the trails are still icy. It makes running quite impossible. My heart rate zig-zagged between 119 and 174, and calves were burning.

Comments In the advanced class we added a new step both to soft shoe and the hard shoe reel. In couple of weeks we start to practise the final show routine. In the intermediate class we combined the lead-around to the step, and added a set to Blackbird. This class was really crowded today.

Comments Not exactly as hard and tiring as BodyPump, but almost as effective. At least, I am thirsty now! This was my first time in massage, and she did by lower back, buttocks, and legs --- tighs, calves and feet.

Comments I used the same weights as last time. Next time I'll probably try some heavier weights in squats.

We got some snow again last night, and it was really beautiful and tranquil in the morning when I was walking to the campus, although my cell phone camera does not quite capture it. I bet the snow will be gone by tomorrow, since it'll be warm and rainy.

Comments Ave 129, max 147, -1C, sunny, strong, gusty wind. It is the turn for a long run, but due to some leg problem we opt for a shorter run, and move the long run to the next weekend. Despite the chilly wind, the weather is perfect for running.
