Comments Ave 137, max 151, +3C, gray and rainy. It is windy, too. Here we have a saying that "the weather is like a bride". Today's must be like Frankenstein's bride. Still, there were surprisingly many joggers in the park, and fewer Nordic walkers than in beautiful days.

Comments Today there were four of us in the advanced level class. We started a slipjig routine in soft shoes. I started to forget things as we progressed in the routine, which is pretty fast and challenging, anyway. I must rehearse it during this coming week. In the intermediate class we did the lead-around and the side step again. I don't seem to get the rhythm in the lead-around from my head to my feet. Oh boy! We worked some more on the hornpipe routine we started last week. Hornpipe is probably the most beautiful Irish dance rhythm, but so sad, too. At least the rhythm is easy to capture from music, but very hard to produce with feet.

Comments The first class was cancelled since only two of us showed up. Bummer! And then we had a new teacher for the second class, whose style varies slightly from the previous ones'. We did again the lead-around and the side-step. In hard shoes we did some hornpipe: a simple routine but the rhythm is quite challenging.

Comments Ave 135, max 148, +3C, cloudy. We postponed and postponed the running until late afternoon, since the day looked so bleak. Eventually, we were encouraged to get out --- mostly by getting hungry, and cooking is always fun.

Comments Two fun hours and a lot of dancing. We started with shoft shoes and butterfly jumps, and then continued the routine (jig?) we started two weeks ago. We also continued the hard shoe routine from last time, which is nice since I have a chance to catch on. Even if we'll have another instructor next week, we'll continue working on these. We started the other class with treble drills to jig and reel, and practised some clicks, and then switched to soft shoes and worked on the lead-around and side-step.

Comments Ave 143, +1C, sunny. Absolutely beautiful! The landscape is powdered by a thin layer of white snow, and the sky is bright blue. Unfortunately, our cell phone is out of power, so we can't take any pictures. The run is surprisingly nice, given that we were in a party last night mixing quite a bit of different drinks. That actually was our first real party since we left Bloomington.

Comments Today's Irish dance class was cancelled because of the All Saints Day. I checked earlier this semester that the Independence day is the only day besides the Christamas holidays that there are no classes. Probably, the studio just added the information on their website two days ago (last update 11/1), since our instructor last week did not say anything, nor did the email reply I got when inquiring about the teacher change mention anything about cancelled classes.

Bummer! Especially annoying, since I had to leave REALLY early because of the downgraded train schedule (once every 30 minutes!) and the weather started get nasty already in the morning. Now we have all that wet snow coming down that does not last, since it is so warm.
